Spring 2006 - Welcome back UVI Students!
- All UVI students have access to a new and improved email system as of January 9, 2006
- All UVI students have been issued new UVI email addresses. Why? To help protect your privacy, UVI is eliminating the use of your social security number as public identification.
For more information about the changes in Student ID, Blackboard, and Email accounts, and to get your new student ID, please visit http://id.uvi.edu/.
NEW STUDENT EMAIL SYSTEM
To use UVI email, just follow these three simple steps:
1) Get your new UVI email address here: http://id.uvi.edu
2) Change your email account password here: Change your password
3) Use your new email account here: https://studentmail.uvi.edu/webmail
4) OPTIONAL - Once you are logged in, you can forward your UVI email to your preferred email address by clicking on Options, then clicking on Mail Forwarding Options and following the instructions.
WHAT ABOUT MY OLD EMAIL?
If you are a returning student AND you have used your student email prior to Spring 2006 semester, your old email account and email will be available until Friday, February 10th, 2006. Click here to access your old email account
You must forward your email messages from this account to another email address, such as your new UVI email address or a non-UVI email address like Gmail, BlackPlanet, Yahoo or Hotmail. Remember, on Friday, February 10th, 2006 the old email will no longer be available.
